Lakeside Software, Inc.®, is a privately held software development company, located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.
Lakeside Software, Inc., developed the original SysTrack technology in 1998 as a system management product specifically engineered for the thin-client marketplace. Citrix© Systems became interested in including the SysTrack technology in their suite of products. In early 1999, Lakeside Software licensed the SysTrack technology to Citrix Systems. This became the base Citrix used to create Citrix Resource Management services (Citrix RMS™).
From 1999 through 2000, Lakeside Software re-engineered the core SysTrack technology to accommodate the non-thin-client market. From this effort the Support Aide product was born. In 2001 Lakeside Software released a new version of its technology called SysTrack 2. SysTrack 2 monitored non-thin-client servers and also provided unique workstation functionality as did the Support Aide© product but with more features. Both of these technologies were engineered using a distributed database architecture (patented) that allowed for scalability beyond 10,000 systems.
In August of 2003, Lakeside Software, Inc., released an advanced version of SysTrack. This version of SysTrack (called SysTrack 3) was a hybrid of the earlier original thin-client SysTrack and also the non-thin-client Support Aide and subsequent SysTrack 2 technologies. Extensive architectural and design enhancements support nearly the entire range of Microsoft Windows operating system family: 95, 98, Me, Terminal Server, NT, 2000, XP and 2003. SysTrack also supports Citrix Metaframe, Citrix XPS/XPA/XPE as well.
Lakeside Software Inc., thru years of experience and customer feedback has continued to improve the performance and scalability (as well as functionality) of SysTrack and its patented Distributed Database Architecture. In April of 2006 Lakeside Software released SysTrack 3.5. SysTrack 3.5 manages all Windows systems (terminal servers, servers & workstations). It scales beyond 100,000 systems. It includes a wide array of "out of the box" capability that is unmatched in the industry. SysTrack 3.5 combines ease of use with large amounts of intuitive functionality. Lakeside Software continues to raise the bar in the "system management space". Antiquated management tools that require front end scripting, long learning curves, consulting, and lengthy roll outs have given way to a new age management tool called SysTrack 3.5.
